📢 Important Customer Notice: U.S. Tariff Impact on MODPADZ Orders

Dear Valued Customer,

As of April 2025, new U.S. trade tariff adjustments under Section 232 and other regulations have gone into effect, directly impacting imports of steel, aluminum, and modular housing components sourced from countries such as China, South Korea, and Taiwan.

These changes may affect pricing and delivery costs on new and existing orders. Specifically, tariff rates as high as 18–25% could be applied to certain product categories relevant to MODPADZ's supply chain.

What This Means for You:

  • Orders placed going forth may reflect increased costs due to the newly enforced tariffs.

  • MODPADZ is committed to transparency and will communicate any adjustments in pricing prior to production.

  • This situation is fluid and may change as U.S. trade policies evolve. We strongly recommend staying updated and maintaining communication with our team for the most current information.

Our Commitment:

We are actively working on solutions, including alternate sourcing and local partnerships, to minimize the impact of these tariffs on you. Our goal is to continue delivering high-quality, affordable, and fully customizable homes without compromising your vision or our standards.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss how these changes may impact your project, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly.

📢 Tariff Impact Notice – Please Read Carefully

All international orders will be subject to applicable tariffs based on the date of arrival at the U.S. port, not the date of order or shipment. Due to the dynamic and unpredictable nature of global trade regulations, these tariffs may change during transit, and unfortunately, MODPADZ has no control over these governmental policies.

While we understand that sudden changes in tariff rates can lead to unexpected costs, we are committed to keeping all customers informed as soon as updates become available. We kindly ask for your understanding and patience, and want to reassure you that MODPADZ will do everything in our power to assist and support you throughout the process.

Please bear in mind that tariffs are not imposed by MODPADZ, and we recognize that this may cause inconvenience. We are here to help minimize the impact in any way we can.

Should you have any questions or need guidance, our team is always ready to support you.

Thank you for your continued trust and support.

As of April 8, 2025, the United States and China have significantly escalated their trade dispute with new tariff measures:

United States' Actions:

  • Increased Tariffs on Asian Imports: President Donald Trump announced an increase in tariffs on Chinese imports by 50 percentage points, raising the total tariff rate to 104%. This decision was in retaliation to China's earlier imposition of a 34% duty on U.S. goods.

  • Higher Tariffs on Low-Cost Imports: The U.S. also raised tariffs on de minimis shipments (imports valued under $800) from 30% to 90%. This change targets low-cost imports, particularly affecting Chinese e-commerce platforms such as Temu and Shein.

China's Response:

  • Retaliatory Tariffs on U.S. Goods: In response to the U.S. tariff hikes, China announced an increase in tariffs on U.S. imports to 84%.

  • Targeting U.S. Companies: China has also placed several American firms on its trade blacklist, including Shield AI and Sierra Nevada, imposing additional restrictions and regulatory pressures on these companies.

These developments have led to increased volatility in global markets and heightened concerns over the potential for a prolonged trade conflict between the two nations.

📢 Important Tariff Update for ModPadz Customers

Dear Valued Customer,

We want to keep you informed about recent tariff changes that may impact your order. The U.S. government has imposed a new additional tariff on imported goods, effective immediately. This means that any orders arriving after this date will be subject to the additional tariff cost.

What This Means for You:

🔹 ModPadz does not control or set tariffs—these are government-imposed regulations that we must follow.
🔹 If a new tariff is imposed after you place your order but before your unit ships, the tariff will be added directly to your remaining balance.

Agreement to Terms:

By placing an order with ModPadz, you acknowledge and agree that any government-imposed tariffs must be paid by the customer if they take effect before your product is shipped.

We are here to assist you in navigating these changes. If you have any questions or need to expedite your order, please contact us at hello@modpadz.com.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
